One weekend night, my father and I went for a walk in the square. On the way home, we saw a little girl in dirty, tattered clothes next to a trash can in the street. The little girl is about fourteen or five years old. If she goes to school, she should be a junior high school student. Although it has entered spring, the weather in March was warm and cold, and the cool wind was blowing. The weather was still relatively cold, and the little girl shivered in the cold night breeze.

One hand of the little girl reached into the trash can and kept rummaging for something, while the other hand was dragging a big and dirty pocket that was swollen. Opposite the trash can is a bakery with the smell of toast. She might feel very hungry when she smelled the scent of bread, and wanted to find someone else's leftovers in the trash can to fill her stomach. Suddenly, the little girl cried loudly. When I saw it, it turned out that her pants had slipped to the ground. She was looking for something with one hand, she had to carry her pants in the other hand, and she had a big pocket to carry, but she couldn't cope with it, so she started to cry. What a poor little girl!

When my father saw this scene, he said to me: "She is so pitiful, let's buy some bread for her to eat!"

"Okay!" I said to Dad.

Dad and I came to the bakery and bought some loaves of bread. But when we walked out of the bakery, the little girl was gone.

"Where did the meeting go?" Dad looked around and said.

"It must be next to the other trash cans." I said to Dad affirmatively.

"Yes, why didn't I expect it, you are smart." Dad said, "Then let's look for it in the nearby trash can."

After a bend, the little girl was looking for something by the trash can not far away as before. The difference is that she put on a yellow coat that looks much cleaner, maybe it was given by some kind person. It was given to her, or she was wearing it in her pocket.

When we handed her the bread, I saw her eyes full of surprises, holding her hands on her chest, and nodding to my father and me.

"Why is she nodding to us?" I asked Dad.

Dad replied: "Maybe she is a deaf and mute person. She nodded to express her gratitude for the care and warmth we gave her."

We did not speak all the way and returned home. I was lying on the warm bed at night, and I thought of the poor little girl who was picking up rags. I thought: It’s not enough to rely on my dad and me. If each of us gives a love, then our world will become a better place!
