俗话说，要知天下事，先读古人书。这个假期我读了《西游记》，它是中国古代四大名著之一。《西游记》主要写了孙悟空、猪八戒、沙僧保护唐僧西行取经，一路降妖伏魔，历经九九八十一难，最后到达西天取得真经的故事。书中栩栩如生地刻画了神通广大、能力非凡、会七十二变的孙悟空、善良执着的唐僧、好吃懒做的猪八戒，以及任劳任怨的沙僧。
我十分佩服孙悟空的宽容大度。就拿“三打白骨精”为例，白骨精三次化作人来迷惑唐僧，唐僧肉眼凡胎，不知她是妖精，见孙悟空三次打死白骨精，不禁大怒，赶走了孙悟空。没有了孙悟空的保护，唐僧很快就被妖怪抓走了。孙悟空身在花果山，却时时刻刻都在惦记唐僧的安危，当他得知师傅被妖精捉走时，不计前嫌，毅然挺身而出，救出了师傅。
和孙悟空一比，我觉得自己真是小肚鸡肠，一点也不能包容别人。记得上一年级时，前桌问我借一块橡皮，我犹豫再三才把橡皮给他，谁知他没接稳，橡皮一下子掉在了地上，粘上了一点土，我顿时就生气了，对着他大吼大叫，最后相互指责起来，现在想想真是后悔莫及呀。
《西游记》不仅让我懂得了遇到困难不要退缩，还让我明白了做人要有一颗宽容大度的心，不能斤斤计较，要团结同学，互相帮助，才会取得成功。

"Journey to the West" mainly tells the story of Monkey King, Zhu Bajie, and Sha Seng who protected Tang Seng to go west to get Buddhist scriptures, conquered demons and subdued demons all the way, went through ninety-nine-eighty-one hardships, and finally reached the West Heaven to obtain the scriptures. The book vividly depicts Sun Wukong, who has great powers, extraordinary abilities, and seventy-two transformations, the kind and persistent Tang monk, the lazy pig, and the hard-working Sha monk.
I admire Sun Wukong's generosity very much. Take the "three beats of the white bone spirit" as an example. The white bone spirit turned into a human three times to confuse the Tang monk. The Tang monk was mortal with naked eyes and didn't know she was a fairy. Without the protection of Sun Wukong, Tang Seng was quickly captured by the monster. Sun Wukong was in Huaguo Mountain, but he was always thinking about the safety of Tang Seng. When he learned that his master was captured by a goblin, he ignored his previous suspicions and resolutely stepped forward and rescued his master.
Compared with Sun Wukong, I feel that I am really a small belly, and I can't tolerate others at all. I remember when I was in the first grade, the front desk asked me to borrow an eraser. I hesitated before giving him the eraser, but he didn’t get it firmly, the eraser suddenly fell to the ground, and a little soil was stuck on it, and I was immediately angry. Yelling at him, and finally blaming each other, now that I think about it, I really regret it.
"Journey to the West" not only taught me not to back down when faced with difficulties, but also taught me to be a person with a tolerant and generous heart, not to be fussy, to unite with classmates, and to help each other in order to achieve success.
